As the European Year of Skills officially concluded on 8th May 2024,
skills will remain a key discussion topic over the years to come, paving
the way for a ‘Decade of Skills’. This provides an excellent
opportunity to reflect on the current understanding of skills and their
impact on labour market dynamics and competitiveness, as well as to
