The first, “Intellectual Property: Powerhouse for Innovation and Economic Growth”, explains ICC’s opinion on the role that IP protection plays in strengthening national economies, driving innovation and technology, fostering new ideas, and enhancing society and culture. The second is entitled “Global Impacts of Counterfeiting and Piracy”. The report states that IPR infringement may entail losses of 1.7 trillion U.S. dollars by 2015 and put 2.5 million legitimate jobs at risk each year.(...)
