Parare gli effetti dell'invecchiamento demografico: la Commissione avvia il dibattito

La Commissione europea ha presentato il 27 Gennaio 2021 un Libro verde con cui dà avvio a un dibattito politico generale sulle sfide e le opportunità insite in una società europea che invecchia e nel quale descrive gli effetti che questa marcata tendenza demografica produrrà sull'economia e sulla società europee. 
Con il Libro verde la Commissione invita gli europei a esprimersi sulle opportune risposte a questa tendenza partecipando a una consultazione pubblica che resterà aperta 12 settimane. (...)

In an effort to ensure timely access to COVID-19 vaccines for all EU citizens and to tackle the current lack of transparency of vaccine exports outside the EU, the Commission has put in place a measure requiring that such exports are subject to an authorisation by Member States.

Following the renewed request from the European Commission on 27 January 2021, pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has agreed to publish the redacted contract signed between the two parties on 27 August 2020. The Commission welcomes the company's commitment towards more transparency in its participation in the rollout of the EU Vaccines Strategy.
