European Parliament’s resolution on unlocking the potential of cultural and creative industries | IPR Helpdesk

Namely, the European Parliament calls on the European Commission to “adapt copyright to the digital era” and “to establish an appropriate legal framework for collecting societies and the reaggregation of copyright repertoire”. In the context of trademarks, the European Parliament encouraged the European Commission to analyse whether the “relevant steps are taken to ensure that trademarks can benefit from the same level of protection in both the online and offline environments”.(...)
