A Code of Practice in the fight against counterfeit goods in the internet | IPR Helpdesk

The European Commission promotes the dialogue among stakeholders in the field of IPR enforcement with the objective to promote collaborative solutions to the existing problems: in this context, during 2009 and 2010 several meetings of stakeholders were held to discuss counterfeiting in the internet. These meetings resulted in the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which aims to establish “a code of practice in the fight against the sale of counterfeit goods over the internet and to enhance collaboration between the signatories.”
