"Taxation trends in the EU" – 2010 edition
How high are taxes in Europe? Are tax levels increasing or decreasing? How is the tax burden shared between labour, capital and consumption? How does my country compare with the other Member States? The answers to these and other questions are in ‘Taxation trends in the European Union: Data for the EU Member States, Iceland and Norway’.
The newly published 2010 edition - issued by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Union, and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Taxation and Customs Union – not only analyses data up to 2008, but also provides an overview of the main tax-related measures taken by the Member States since the beginning of the financial and economic crisis.
The full report offers a statistical annex containing the main data by country and for the EU as a whole. In addition, a booklet is available, which summarises the report's main results in a concise format. The report and the booklet can be downloaded free of charge in PDF format from our Taxation Trends web page.
