(...) At the July Plenary, the CoR adopted a Resolution on "Vision for Europe: The Future of Cross-Border Cooperation" which outlines a number of proposals for the future of cross-border cooperation.
This Resolution, which is a result of the work of the European Cross-Border Citizens' Alliance, serves as a basis for CoR's proposals on the topic to the Conference on the Future of Europe.
We have selected proposals from the Resolution that could gain traction among citizens, as they directly affect their everyday lives, and we have published those proposals on the Platform of the Conference.
This is just the first step in pushing for a stronger focus on cross-border cooperation on the agenda of the Conference, and we would kindly ask you to vote for these ideas and share them widely among your networks, so that they would get high support and consequently appear on the agenda of the Conference.
The proposals and ideas are available here;
- Preserve and complete the system of free movement of citizens
- Make public and emergency services available to citizens in cross-border regions
- Why are my qualifications still not recognised in other EU Member States?
- Let us watch TV from other EU states – limit geo-blocking
- Lifelong language learning and new technologies
- Bringing people in border regions together (...)
