International conference "Labour market reform: new opportunities for a better tomorrow" | Ministrstvo za delo, družino in socialne zadeve


Levels of job quality across the EU has remained remarkably steady over the past two decades, despite technological and organisational change. In Slovenia, one worker in five (20%) has a low quality job, which ranks Slovenia in the middle of all 27 EU Members States, ranging from under 10% to above 35% of individuals with low quality jobs. This participants will be told at the international conference on ‘Labour Market Reform: new opportunities for a better tomorrow’ in Ljubljana, Slovenia, today on Monday 17 September 2012.
‘We know that quality of work and employment are closely linked to competitiveness and growth and therefore job creation, which Europe needs so desperately,' says Agnés Parent-Thirion, senior programme manager at Eurofound, speaking at the event. 'The crisis reinforces the need to measure, describe, qualify and understand what is happening, so that we can use all our means to get out of the crisis and continue the European project of integration and social progress.’(...)
