(...) Experts have been invited to present and discuss innovative solutions for the taxation of the EU's financial sector that help its further integration, facilitate cross-border operations and foster digitalisation and innovation.
The hearing will look at whether one of the already introduced financial transaction, financial activity or windfall taxes can serve as a best practice and at the challenges stemming from the current VAT exemption for financial services. (...)
