With its report "Towards a greener labour market - the employment dimension of tackling climate change", the EMCO Temporary Working Group on Employment and Climate Change, aims to improve the evaluation and monitoring of climate change policies on the labour market. It animates the ongoing debate on the implications of the greening of the economy for the formulation of European and national employment policies. The report embodies a broad policy-based approach on employment and environmental change, while acknowledging the complex inter-linkages between environmental sustainability on the one hand, and labour markets on the other.
